Established in Lagos in 2016, The Ladymaker has developed a core aesthetic of understated, strong womanhood. Creative Director, Ifeyinwa Azubike, trained at Istituto di Moda Burgo (Lagos Campus), having founded The Ladymaker after leaving a decade-long career as a commercial lawyer.
The Ladymaker is known for dedication to fit and a passion for creating foundational pieces inspired by heritage for the modern woman. Our signature core aesthetic marries explorations of form and texture with the unexpected. The Ladymaker has attracted a following of discerning women with whom the brand’s craftsmanship and creativity consistently resonate.
All of our designs are handmade in the Ladymaker workshop in Lagos Nigeria by a team of pan-african workers led by Azubike. The label opened its remodelled flagship store in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos in 2020.
